Methodology for Evaluating Program and Faculty Productivity in Construction Related Programs
How productive have the programs and faculties of construction, construction management, construction engineering, and civil engineering programs been in transmitting knowledge and research results over the past several years? In order to answer this question, the authors propose a methodology for evaluating the scholarly productivity of these programs and their faculties. In this study it is proposed that scholarly productivity be measured by counting the number of journal articles published by program faculty. Providing faculty productivity measures is meaningful because they indicate the extent to which programs are contributing to the knowledge in the field.
