Corrosion and Cracking of Reinforced Concrete
In this paper is presented a brief review of modern modeling of the reliability profiles for reinforced concrete structures. Deterministic models for the different steps in the deterioration process are discussed. Several of the parameters used in the modeling are so uncertain that a stochastic modeling is natural. By crude Monte Carlo simulation predictions for time to initial corrosion, time to initial cracking, and time to a given crack width may be obtained.
