Programs for the Improvement of Stormwater Quality in Sydney, Australia
The Stormwater Environment Improvement Program (SEIP) is Sydney Water Corporation's five-year $20M program of works for the improvement of water quality in Sydney Water's stormwater systems. The SEIP was developed from Stormwater Management Plans (SMPs) prepared for seventeen Sydney catchments. Sydney Water owns and operates assets in all these catchments. The SEIP includes actions identified in these SMPs as being the responsibility of Sydney Water. The development of the SEIP, the strategies adopted for its implementation and the outcomes of the first year of the Program are discussed.
