Rehabilitation of Masonry Arch Bridges
Masonry arch bridges have been utilized for thousands of years as roadway, river and stream crossings. They can be made up of worked or rough hewn stone, with or without mortar. The classic and organic look of a masonry arch bridge allows for the structure to blend in well with its natural surroundings. This paper will look into the rehabilitation and strengthening of two different types of masonry arch bridges.
