Stress Comparison Analysis of Asphalt Overlay on Rubblized Cement Concrete Pavement
The existing cement concrete pavement treated with rubblization technique is regarded as a linear, isotropic elastic body at macro level. By using a multi-layer elastic system model, the paper compares the stress of asphalt overlay on rubblized cement concrete pavement slab and graded gravel, which shows that stress on rubblized slab, is less than on gravel. It is testified that the rubblized slab is better than graded gravel for base layer. By changing the height of two main parts of rubblized slab and the modulus of under part, it is found that 8 to 10 centimeters is the suitable height of under part. This height will keep the intensity of slab and avoid reflective crack at the same time.
