Numerical Modeling of Jacking Process for Underpass Bridge Through Railway Line
The jacking technology of underpass bridges has been adopted abroad under railway and highway line. In order to provide reliable basis of design for the construction of underpass bridges, this study simulates the interaction between the underpass bridge structure and the soil in the jacking process by using of FEM method. 3D modeling method is adopted to simulate the displacement and stress in both the structure and the surrounding soil. The numerical simulation results indicate that the displacement and the stress in front of the box structure are largely affected by the length of the structure.
