The Training of City Planners
Following a review of the trends that affect instruction in city planning, the contents of a graduate curriculum in city planning are outlined. Such a curriculum should contain seminars that include (1) the major aspects of urban community development, (2) illustrations of the required integration between the various professions, and (3) an investigation of the sociological and psychological techniques in city planning. Students should also be shown the place of planning in local government.
