Analysis of Parameters of an Unconfined Aquifer
The relationship between the parameters of a homogeneous, isotropic unconfined aquifer are described by dimensional analysis. A dimensionless form of the nonlinear differential equation governing the flow of groundwater toward a fully penetrating well in an infinite unconfined aquifer is solved numerically. Graphical methods of solution are proposed for the determination of any one of the parameters provided the other parameters are known. A field test is included to illustrate the proposed method.
