Mathematical Method for Blending Aggregates
A method is developed for aggregate mix design for use in stabilized base or asphalt concrete design where it is necessary to blend several available aggregate materials to obtain the desired optimum gradation. This method differs from the trial-and-error procedure commonly used. It represents as direct a mathematical solution as can be found for this problem.
