Stochastic Generation of Rainfall
This paper demonstrates the use of time series analysis in estimating a generation process and its parameters for synthesizing daily rainfall. It will also examine, through the use of the variance spectra, periodicities found in daily rainfall records. The techniques used are also applicable to the simulation of other hydrologic processes such as streamflow and evaporation.
