Elastic and Visco-Elastic Behavior of Cementitious Materials at Early Ages
In this research, an experimental campaign was carried out to investigate the elastic and viscoelastic behaviour of cement pastes. For this purpose, uniaxial creep tests and elastic modulus tests with elasticity modulus measurement through ambient response method were performed on cement pastes with water to cement ratio of 0.35 at early ages, and autogenous shrinkage was measured in parallel. After subtracting the measured autogenous shrinkage from the total measured deformation under load, the early-age evolution of basic creep was obtained. The kinetics of the elastic and visco-elastic properties was formulated based on Tikhonov regularization. The results show that the kinetics of basic creep compliance and creep recovery at all loading ages had log-linear trend. Therefore a power law function was established to express the specific basic creep. It was found the amplitude and the slope of the kinetics were linked to the loading ages and the hydration evolution.
