Pile Head Settlement Calculation Method of a Super-Long Pile in a Deep Soft Soil Area
A settlement calculation method of super-long pile in deep soft soil area is proposed in this paper. The lateral friction function of super-long pile is simulated by a modified hyperbolic model. With the vertical load transfer function, the analytic solution of pile-bearing capacity is deduced for homogeneous soft soil. An example is given to verify the method. Finally, based on the method of this paper, the main parameters of pile settlement of super-long pile are analyzed. The results show that the values of pile diameter and pile-soil stiffness are more sensitive to pile settlement. The super-long pile settlement decreases nonlinearly with the increase of the pile-soil stiffness and pile diameter. However, the pile length has a relatively minor influence on the super-long pile settlement.
