Research on the Coupling Relationship between Land-Use Performance and Land Preference of Urban Greenways: A Case Study of Shenyang, China
As the level of urbanization continues to increase, the urban ecological environment and the quality of life of residents are facing serious challenges. As a low-carbon and healthy way of traveling, urban greenways contribute to the sustainable development of cities and the physical and mental health of residents, thus becoming an important element in urban planning. This study aims to assess the relationship between land preference and land-use performance of existing riverfront greenways in Shenyang, China, to delineate high-value land and to optimize urban space in Shenyang. Through spatial and econometric analyses, a multilevel model is constructed to identify the imbalance of land-use values of urban riverfront greenways in Shenyang. Utilizing multisource data and GIS, the greenway land preference characteristics are studied and high potential grade land is classified. Eventually, the land-use value is analyzed, coupled with the potential grade, and the planning strategy of node, strip, and network greenways is proposed to provide clear guidance for the planning and development of greenways in Shenyang, as well as inspiration for future research.
