The Regulation of Engineering Practice by A Code of Ethics
The question as to whether the practice of the members of this Society shall be regulated by a set of rules or standards of action, is not novel. The desirability of having a code of precepts for the guidance and control of careless or indifferent engineers, who may be over-strenuous in seeking employment, or willing to accept services which are incompatible with the dignity of the profession, is a perennial subject of discussion.
