Bed Load Sampler for Streams with Sandy Bed
The cumulative nature of sedimentation processes often raises difficulties in the design of many water engineering projects. Quantitative estimation of the transportation phenomena is therefore of utmost importance if serious operational disturbances are to be avoided. However, review of the literature regarding the problems connected with the transportation of the sediments carried in waterways and natural streams reveals a lack of reliable and accurate methods for measuring quantities of transported material.
