Railroad Signaling – the Block System
It will be the endeavor of the author in the course of this paper to trace the various stages and developments which not only led to the ordinary block working on railways, as now generally in use, but also to the introduction of the interlocking system, which, in combination or union with the block system, seems likely to be the signaling of the future.
