Micropiles for Slope Stabilization
Micropiles have been primarily used as foundation support elements to resist static and dynamic loadings, and to a lesser extent, to provide reinforcements to the stabilization of slopes and excavations. The purpose of this paper is to determine fundamental design guidance for using micropiles for the in-situ stabilization of slope failures by performing slope stability analyses on case studies using limit equilibrium software and finite element software.
