Study on the Capability of a Crushed Rock Layer to Eliminate Differential Settlement and Mechanical Analysis of Cement Concrete Pavement
A model experiment for using a crushed rock layer to eliminate differential settlement was designed. Through the model experiment, the effect of eliminating differential settlement was validated. The experiment shows that the crushed rock layer, which can eliminate the differential settlement, mostly depends on the secondary loose coefficient. On the assumption that a crushed rock layer can eliminate differential settlement, the mechanical properties of cement concrete pavement which has a crushed rock layer were researched. Through mechanical calculation, it fact can be confirmed that crushed rock layer not only can eliminate the differential settlement, but also can reduce additional stress.
