Solution of Equations in Structural Analysis by Converging Increments
A method of solving equations in structural analysis by converging increments (which is related to the process of successive substitutions) is demonstrated in this paper. The method is also useful as a guide in developing alternate solutions, of the moment-distribution type, in cases where the proper mode of performing the distributions may not be otherwise readily apparent.
