Ground Treatment Solutions using Jet Grouting
The jet grouting technology has been applied in Portugal since the last twenty years. The aim of this paper is to present some case histories where the jet grouting technology was successfully used in Portugal, emphasizing the main design and execution criteria as ground treatment for foundations and slope stability applications. It is also pointed out the importance of the execution control on site, before and during the construction of the final elements. Finally, the technical, economic and environmental advantages of the jet grouting technique, comparing with some more conventional solutions, are presented.
