A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
LINCS (Kajima Linkage of Information for New Construction System)
This paper presents ongoing research in development and application of LINCS (Kajima Linkage of Information for New Construction System) that links multiple design and engineering applications in construction projects. In this system, building information (CAD models, structural systems, section and material libraries, cost estimates) are stored in a shared database and multiple disciplines are able to retrieve the information database for their own works.
