Geotechnical Data Analytics and Data Mining Using Microsoft Power BI
Geotechnical investigations produce an enormous amount of data that is extremely valuable to the geotechnical engineering and construction communities. Data analysis and data visualization are needed to communicate data in meaningful ways. They are also needed to understand the challenges of organizations that collect and/or use geotechnical data. Microsoft’s interactive data analytics and visualization platform for business intelligence is known as Power BI. In this paper, we will show how we helped our clients use Power BI on various projects to evaluate geotechnical data, compare different parameters of available data, and assess overall project success.
