Interprofessional conflict management : scoping review
This master’s thesis examined interprofessional conflict management. Aim of the thesis was to examine how interprofessional conflict management is presented in current research literature. To achieve this aim, current literature of this subject was reviewed and examined to answer the research question: How can interprofessional conflicts be managed? The study was conducted by a scoping review. The database searches were done to two different databases, CINAHL and PubMed, and resulted altogether in 4345 articles. Through careful study selection 8 articles were selected. The data was analyzed by using inductive content analysis. The management of interprofessional conflict management was seen to comprehend conflict responses, conflict resolution, matters affecting conflict management and recommendations for future. It was discovered that team members of interprofessional collaboration feel they have inadequate knowledge and training for interprofessional conflict management and therefor this matter should be more examined in the future to advance education and training for conflict in the interprofessional context.
