Science, Technology and Innovation: Drivers of Sustainable Development and Research Agenda
All round development and growth of economy of India have been made through exponential growth of science and technology in our country. India has opted and adopted for mix of indigenous and imported technology. The term “technology transfer” referred to as the purchase and transfer of technology. This work focuses mainly on areas of science and technology as tool for sustainable development and building research agenda in Indian scenario. Sustainable Innovations through science and technology transfer mainly are the drivers of growth of our country. Sustainable development offers an organizing framework based on opportunities of innovations. Better design and new technology provides means of work smarter and more sustainably provided this technology should create minimum of uncertainties over consequences and scope of applications. The process of innovation takes place within increasingly networked economies with changing social values and environmental pressure. Within developing nations in particular contribution of technology and innovations related to sustainable development comes largely through business-to-business transactions. Here author’s, mainly, are focusing on approaches of sustainable development to improve performance across social, environmental and economic pillars of sustainable development and incorporating these tools within routine business processes.
