Die Entstehung multifunktionaler Grenzen im Oppidum von Manching ; The creation of multifunctional boundaries in the oppidum of Manching
The later oppidum of Manching started as an open settlement and evolved gradually into an interregional centre. This development went hand in hand with an extensive change in the settlement structure. The objective of this article is to focus on the creation and function of the different boundaries in the oppidum to bring out the process of transformation that took place during the La Tène Period. The ditch system, the rampart and the redirected waterways not only outline the settlement but also function as fortification, cultivation process and ideological concept. ; L'oppidum de Manching, à l'origine un habitat ouvert, a graduellement évolué en centre suprarégional. Ce développement s'est accompagné d'une modification de la structure même de l'agglomération. L'objectif de cet article est d'analyser l'émergence et la fonction des diverses frontières dans l'oppidum pour révéler le processus de transformation durant le second âge du Fer. Le système de fossés, le rempart et les cours d'eau détournés ne délimitent pas seulement l'habitat, mais servent aussi de fortifications et marquent la limite entre les espaces urbain et rural.
