A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Microtopia, Otras formas de habitar
Microtopia Other ways of living The interest in technology, economic need, political action, the loneliness yearning, or the environmental imperative are some of the motivations that drive the contemporary boom of minimal architectures. Pragmatic or utopian, prefabricated or handmade, urban or located in full virgin nature, these initiatives seem to respond to a common need, which can also be interpreted as pleasure: the persistent (and very human) search for personal expressions of the home. The documentary MICROTOPÍA. OTHER WAYS TO HABIT, by the Swedish filmmaker Jesper Wachtsmeicher, analyzes this tendency to miniaturization and domestic efficiency through interviews with different authors from all over the world who face this challenge with very different approaches. beaches, artificial islands, deserts, watchtowers, caves, monuments or even the virtual space of the internet make up a panorama of settlements and radical experiences, adventures that are questioned about alternative ways to reorganize and occupy our environment or establish a scope for reflection on, in words of its protagonists, "the idea of what a house is or what it should be."
