The problem faced by residents in Pattallassang district in waste management was the number of residents tends to higher can effect to increase the volume of household waste piles, and also never disseminate of the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle). The partner of this IbM was the PKK group of Pattallassang district. The objectives of the IbM implementation were (1) increasing partner awareness about the importance of managing household waste, and (2) increasing partner’s skills in processing organic solid waste to compost. The methods of the IbM Team approach offered in the process of problem solving of partner were (1) Counseling about the adverse effects of unmanaged waste, how to manage household solid waste and used organic solid waste into compost, (2) demonstration and training on composting from household organic solid waste, (3) provision of supporting facilities to made compost. After the completion of the IbM program, partners have an awareness of the importance of managing waste and have the skills to process organic solid waste into compost.
