Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Jerami Menggunakan Model Fermentasi Bhokasi Di Dusun Siwalan, Desa Widodaren, Kecamatan Gerih, Kabupaten Ngawi
Abstract: The availability of abundant straw waste during the harvest season is not utilized by residents of Siwalan hamlet, Gerih, Ngawi. The action of burning causes a significant reduction in air quality during the harvest season. Residents of Siwalan hamlet need training on the use of straw, especially for cattle breeders as an alternative to adding cow food as well as an action to reduce air pollution caused by burning straw. Community service uses the Participatory Action Research method. Research is participatory from the subject to make social changes in the group. The subject group knows the needs based on the information they receive, to then use it in finding a solution to a problem. Implementation of straw utilization training through bhokasi fermentation process provides knowledge and experience to the community in adding value to straw as animal feed through bhokasi fermentation. This speeds up the process of making feed and helps the community to meet their livestock feed supply. Furthermore, it is suggested to form a training alumni community so that they will be able to continue to carry out studies and discussions on the possibility of utilizing waste from the surrounding environment as healthy animal feed which can improve environmental quality as well as strengthen the economic aspects of the Siwalan hamlet community.
