The concept of disaster and community resilience: A sociological perspective of disaster
This article aims to describe the concept of disaster in the perspective of disaster sociology and the resilience of disaster-affected communities as one of the studies in disaster sociology. A literature study is used as a method in this article. Then data analysis starts from the most relevant, relevant and quite relevant. Next, record important and relevant parts of the problem to be compiled and analyzed, and conclusions drawn. The results of this article review, namely the trauma felt in communities affected by disasters should be eliminated immediately. Efforts to rise from mental conditions that are unfavorable for people affected by disasters to their original conditions, so an ability known as social resilience is needed. Basically, every individual human or community has all aspects of resilience, but what distinguishes one individual from another as a member of the community affected by disasters is how to use and maximize aspects of themselves. So that it becomes an ability that helps individuals to survive difficulties or crises experienced in the recovery period and can provide the ability to rise better than before. The strength of resilience of people affected by disasters is built from social ties or social cohesion through a feeling of togetherness as part of the community members and processes through homogenization of the ideals of groups or communities affected by disasters.
