DESIGN AND VALIDATION OF E-MOTORING SERVICES MODEL
Rendering e-government services has been a thing of concern to developing countries, Nigeria inclusive. Egovernment aims to provide citizen-oriented services, and to address the demands of citizens and businesses for accessibility, responsiveness, simplicity and transparency of public services. Applications that provide e-government services need to have increased features of interoperability and consistency for easy management. In order to achieve these, model based approach to the design of e-government system will be appropriate since it has a platform independent ability. This paper is aimed at improving this situation through reliable Unified Modeling Language (UML) profile design for e-motoring services and validating the model with Object Constraint Language (OCL). Validation of the model helps to ensure the correctness of the presented Model. In this model, some extensions to existing e-motoring service in Nigeria are introduced by including some typical elements of motoring and transport domain and other elements deriving from management, such as the elements related to “hiring of vehicle”, hence providing a model that exhaustively represents the entire motoring and transportation services in an unambiguous way.
