Government Sustainable Programs and the Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic in Nigeria.
This study investigated government sustainable program and the growth of small and medium enterprises during the Covid 19 pandemic. The study used research design in which survey method was adopted. The population of study consist of 580 registered SMEs in wuse business district in Abuja, with a sample size of 130. One hundred questionnaire were returned out of the 130 questionnaire that were given to respondents. In other to achieve the objective of this study, the hypotheses was tested and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Findings reveals that survival fund has significant effect on the sustainability of SMEs. It was also found that free registration of business name has significant effect on the sustainability of SMEs. Finally, it was discovered that government incentives has significant effect on the sustainability of SMEs. The study concluded that SME’s performed effectively well with government sustainable programs, this intervention programs forms part of the objective of this study which are survival fund, free business registration and government incentives.
