Determinants of Sustainability of Donor Funded Project in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands in West Pokot County, Kenya
The purpose of the study was to investigate the Determinants of Sustainability of Donor Funded Project in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands in Kenya. Case Of West Pokot County, Kenya. The descriptive survey research design was employed in the study. From the target population of 159 employees, the study used a simple random sampling technique to select a sample size of 114. The study used five point structured questionnaires and document analysis as the main tools for collecting data. Cronbach Alpha Coefficient indicator was used to test the internal consistency of the items. Data were analysed using both descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive methods such as frequencies mean and standard deviation were used to provide general trends of the data. Inferential statistics included Pearson correlations to show the relationship between variables. Findings showed that budget plan and Technical expertise have a significant effect on the sustainability of donor funded projects. Technical expertise, which is a function of education and experience, has a positive and significant effect on the Sustainability Of Donor Funded Projects. Therefore, human capital represents potential areas where partnerships can enhance the overall Sustainability Of Donor Funded Projects by ensuring that the employees have the requisite skills needed
