FIRE RISK OF DUMPS AND SOLID WASTE LANDFILLS ; ПОЖЕЖНА НЕБЕЗПЕКА СТИХІЙНИХ СМІТТЄЗВАЛИЩ ТА ПОЛІГОНІВ ТВЕРДИХ ПОБУТОВИХ ВІДХОДІВ
Fire risk of natural dumps and solid waste landfills and major fires at the sites of accumulation of debris are analysed. An exponential dependence of the burning garbage area on time and the impact of fire trucks use on increased number of firefighting personnel are presented. Investigated solid waste landfills of Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are not provided in sufficient quantity by primary means of fire fighting and vehicles, which reduces their fire safety. ; Проаналізовано пожежну небезпеку стихійних сміттєзвалищ, полігонів твердих побутових відходів та найбільші пожежі на них. Наведено експоненційну залежність площі горіння сміття від часу та вплив використання кількості пожежних автомобілів на збільшення особового складу пожежників. Досліджені полігони твердих побутових відходів Західного Лісостепу України не забезпечені у достатній кількості первинними засобами пожежогасіння, транспортними засобами, що знижує їх пожежну безпеку.
