This final thesis examines the effectiveness and benefits of Biomimetics in construction sector. The thesis explores the concept and methodology of Biomimetics and scientific literature analysis is made. The thesis introduces TRIZ and BioTRIZ methodology and use in construction sector. The study of practical principles application of Biomimetics are analysed and the effectiveness and benefits of Biomimetics use are presented. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of sustainable innovation in construction of Biomimetics are evaluated. The new inovation concept of natural principles of imitation in construction sector is formed. The algorithm of BioTRIZ method in construction sector is established and proposals how to implement Biomimetics in construction sector are presented. The thesis comprises of an introduction, 3 main parts: concept and methodology of biomimetics, biomimetics application in construction, biomimetics in the context of sustainable development, conclusions and suggestions, references. Thesis consist of: 72 p. text without appendixes, 32 pictures, 6 tables, 51 bibliographical entries. Appendixes included.
