Sustiprinto gniuždomojo mūro įtempių būvio analizė ; Stress state analysis of strengthened compressive masonry
Jacketing increases the load-carrying capacity and the deformability of masonry. There are some different jacketing techniques to strengthen masonry such as steel jacketing, reinforced concrete jacketing, fiber reinforced polymers wrapping and using steel cords. Steel jacketing is extensively used to retrofit masonry columns and has proven to be very efficient in increasing strength and ductility of the columns. Aim of the work is to investigate influence of transverse strains restriction for the load-carrying capacity of masonry and to determine coefficient of steel angles exploitation which depends from friction between steel angles and masonry. It was made an experimental work with 9 specimens of masonry columns, static linear numerical analysis and theoretical calculations. In experimental work it was found the effectiveness of steel jacketing, behavior of strengthened masonry and stress-strain characteristics of strengthened compressive masonry. An experimental results where compared with theoretical calculations and recommendations was made.
