Architectural Drawing and Graphic Narratives in the Digital Age
Digital tools have revolutionised architecture in varied ways; from the development of the project to architectural representation and deliverables themselves. In this paper we analyse different aspects of architectural graphic production in the last decades considering the possibilities of increased complexity and communicability in graphic narrative. In particular, we are interested in reflecting on the connections between the visual arts and architectural drawings from a graphic communication perspective. Accordingly, this research reflects on the expressive and narrative possibilities that digital tools allow to reach in the field of architectural representation, paying special attention to new techniques and trends in the communication of contemporary architecture.
