In the article is presented methods of the wind turbines power regulation. Chosen power regulation method for the small-scale horizontal axis windmill by changing turbine position in air flow depending on the forces in turbines hub. Design power regulation device for such windmill. Done experimental research in 4–14 m/s wind speed range show that power regulation equipment functioning well. Analytical research estimated blade tangential force dependence on the setting angle of the vertical axis wind turbine. When the blade‘s setting angles – 13o and less (the front part of the blade is directed towards the interior of the wind turbine) is aerodynamic stopping of the turbine. It is presented scheme of the vertical axis wind turbine‘s power control device which is changing blade setting angle depending on rotation speed of the wind turbine.
