PEMODELAN DAN SIMULASI APLIKASI SUPERCAPACITOR PADA SISTEM PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA BAYU
The needs of renewable energy sources are inevitable to be increase from time to time due to global warmingissue and pollutions from conventional based power stations. However, the lateness progress of renewable energy basedpower stations in dominating worldwide total power stations is caused by the renewable energy’s technology ratherexpensive and some are still immature. For wind turbine itself, when connecting to the grid, it must obey the regulationparticularly when it disturbed by grid fault that might violate the grid code itself. Consequently, the wind turbine mustbe disconnected from the grid which in turn leads to high economic lost. This paper is aimed to design and simulate thecompensator for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) which is connected to the grid using Supercapacitor (SC). SC iscontrolled with Hysteresis Current Controller (HCC) and Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC). This system is modeled usingMATLAB. The simulation results show that voltage profile at Point of Common Coupling (PCC) is corrected above theselected Fault Ride Through (FRT) which is in turn avoiding the WTG disconnected from the grid
