Features of formation of high-rise building in the structure of the largest cities in the conditions of urbanization are considered. There are three main types of high-rise objects that were formed at the time of the transition to a post-industrial society: a single high-rise dominant building (complex), a local high-altitude group - a multifunctional complex and a mass of high-rise buildings demonstrating chaos and high density.
