The aim of the research is to analyse the effect of various features on the safety of the refrigerating equipment. Working with refrigerating equipment encounters many potentially dangerous equipment and hazardous chemical substances, therefore this work is considered dangerous. There is always the possibility of accident and hence a worker’s trauma (lethal, serious, mild). The main danger in work is the chemical substances, refrigerants. Some refrigerants are dangerous to environment, some - to human. The main danger is a refrigerant leak. During the research, which included 45 workers in 2 organizations, who work with refrigerating equipment, I found out that the first organization is characterised in higher level of qualification that ensures effectiveness and safety. There were 5 times more qualification training (makes total of 90%) in 1st organization than in 2nd organization (makes total of 73,4 %) In order to control and reduce the leaks of refrigerants, there has to be a severe control of users, suppliers and administrators, also the proper condition and administration in exploitation and repair must be ensured. The qualification training may be an important measure in reducing the leaks and preventing the workers’ health.
