A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
ES alternatyvios elektros energetikos paramos finansavimo šaltinių naudingumo vertinimas ; Utility evaluation of EU renewable electricity energy financing sources support
Analysis of this paper is dedicated to renewable energy growth, which is becoming a necessity for countries that seeks cheaper electricity in a long-term. The purpose of this paper is to identify which EU renewable electricity energy support’s financing source is the most beneficial and how much benefit EU would gain by using that financing source. This paper consists of three parts. In first part, based on the analysis of scientific papers, renewable energy’s importance was discussed, renewable energy’s support validity was explained, energy’s support mechanisms and best practices were distinguished. Also review of previous researches was conducted and directions of renewable energy’s research were named. In second part the EU alternative energy’s scale, support’s mechanisms and support’s financing sources were analyzed. Research methodology was formulated. In third part, EU countries’ renewable energy utility calculations were analyzed, the most beneficial support’s financing source was determined, recommendations for EU countries’ sectors of electricity energy were provided. Results of the analysis revealed that the most beneficial support’s financing source is non-tax levies. With it, on average, EU can reduce electricity prices by up to 4,4 euro cents.
