Vincent Street Bridge, Rochester, N.Y.
A view of the Vincent Street, also called Vincent Place Bridge, spanning the Genesee River. The view is looking northeast toward the Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. buildings on St. Paul Street. The wrought iron bridge was built in 1873 by the Leighton Bridge Company of Rochester. In 1903, the bridge was renamed the Smith Street Bridge. In 1929, the Smith Street Bridge was dismantled to make way for a new bridge. The Bausch Memorial Bridge was opened on the same site in 1931.
