STUDI EFEKTIFITAS BANGUNAN SEAWALL TERHADAP ABRASI DI PANTAI WISATA MAMPIE KABUPATEN POLEWALI MANDAR
The objective of this research is to know the seawall construction effectiveness at Pantai Wisata Mampie inassisting the coastal sedimentation process and to know the seawall physical performance in protecting the objectsbehind it. Sedimentation in front of the seawall is measured by comparing the cross sections of the beach at the timebefore and after construction. Measurements after construction are measured teristically using the Total Station.Theperformance of seawall construction is obtained from the value of Construction Condition Index based on theassessment of the physical components of the seawall construction at the top, the outer body, the inner body, the outerfoundation and the outer foundation.The results of this study indicate that the elevation of sand in front of the seawallconstruction thickening of 8-15 cm which shows the seawall construction is effective in adding the process ofsedimentation and effectively in reducing abrasion. From the index values of physical components, the ConstructionCondition Index = 1.0 means that the coastal protection structure is in good condition.
