Global warming significantly impacts Nigeria, increasing extreme weather events and intensifying greenhouse gas emissions, particularly CO2, from urbanization and industrialization. Cities like Lagos contribute heavily to these emissions, exacerbating climate change and its associated challenges. In response, resilient architecture is essential to ensure buildings can withstand environmental stresses. However, many architects in developing countries lack the expertise to implement effective resilient designs. Addressing this gap involves integrating long-term resilience into architectural practices, focusing on robust, adaptable infrastructure that can better withstand future climate risks.
