Tvarioji žmogiškųjų išteklių valdymo veiklos koncepcija ; Sustainable concept of human resource management performance
The research problem is how human resource management could be improved today by considering the principles of sustainability. The aim of the research is to conceptualise human resource management and sustainability from an organisational point of view. The research methodology is based on the analysis of scientific literature. A change in the concept of sustainability in the management of human resources has been analysed; and the relationship between these constructs and the directions of the intended future research have been revealed. Key findings of the paper include the importance of sustainability for the management of human resources. The concept of sustainability and the aspects of sustainable human resource management (i.e. the reproduction of capability, promotion of social and environmental health, connections) have been analysed, and the interaction between these two constructs is described. The conceptual insights of the research linking sustainability and human resource management can contribute to new possibilities for future theoretical and empirical research. This article is also relevant to the leader of any organisation as it provides ways to implement human resource management to achieve organisational sustainability.
