Analysis of an RCC Irregular Building under Dynamic Loading
Factors of earthquake have always been a challenge in design and development of high rise buildings. At the time of strong motions of earthquake, the performances of high rise building are dependent over the mass, strength and stiffness distributions along both the horizontal as well as vertical directions. If there is any type of discontinuity among any of these then such buildings are referred as irregular buildings. The focus of this work is over the behaviours and performances of vertical irregular and regular G+10 RC buildings under seismic loadings. In total, 8 irregular and regular building models of made and seismic analysis are performed through the technique of RSA (response spectrum analysis). Different types of seismic responses like storey displacement and storey stiffness are obtained. A comparative study is also conducted through combining all the responses attained.
