Paveldo statinių tvarios konversijos modeliavimas ; Modelling of sustainable conversion of heritage buildings
The thesis deals with measures that would help to make effective decisions and reduce the level of uncertainties and risks in solving the issues of sustainable conversion modelling of built heritage objects. The paper analyzes the good practice of foreign countries in the application of modern technologies for the reconstruction of historic buildings. Possibilities of application of Multiple Cri-teria Decision Making methods (MCDM) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) for built heritage building management works are investigated. The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, general conclusions, lists of used literature, the list of author's publications and 7 annexes. The introductory chapter discusses the research problem, the relevance of the work, describes the object of research, formulates the aim and objectives of the work, and describes the research methodology, scientific novelty of the work, the practical significance of the results, defended statements. At the end of the introduction, the author's publications and reports at conferences on the topic of the thesis and the structure of the thesis are presented. The first chapter provides an overview of the scientific literature related to the topic of the thesis. The concept of built heritage is defined, heritage management works are reviewed, the international and Lithuanian heritage management system is analyzed, and the features of the heritage management system that influence the management of built heritage values are singled out. The chapter examines the international practice of MCDM and BIM for heritage management, and presents an analysis of the links between BIM and MCDM. The second chapter presents generalized data on cultural heritage in Lithuania. The chapter proposes a model for the conversion of built heritage objects, which can be used to determine which methods or technologies are most appropriate for managing a particular object in the context of sustainable development. The third chapter presents the practical application of the model proposed by the author. Two experimental projects were presented: the Sapieha Palace in Vilnius at the end of the 17th century and the Bamberg Railway Depot in Ger-many at the beginning of the 20th century. BIM 3D models with parametric information were created for the objects and three possible conversion concepts were formulated. Using the multiple criteria Rough WASPAS approach, the best alternatives were selected, taking into account the components of sustainable development(s). Conclusions are presented at the end of the thesis. The key research findings were announced in ten research papers and dis-cussed at five scientific conferences.
