Facility management is the longest and most time-consuming process in the life cycle of the building, so it is important to increase the facility management efficiency and reduce the use of resources. The goal of this master thesis is to explore BIM and Augmented Reality application possibilities for facility management, to evaluate the benefits of these technologies and provide perspectives and trends. According to recent literature sources in thesis are described BIM and Augmented Reality application methods and areas in the world and in Lithuania. Also what technology and software is used and what the advantages are of BIM and Augmented Reality in facility management. Facility managers survey shows that the biggest challenges are the lack of specialists, knowledge and investment funds. However, more than half of respondents believe that these technologies are applied in their work and that they will be used more often in the future. Work size - 75 pages, 41 pictures, 9 tables., 56 references. Separately appendixes added.
