D3.1 Landscape Reports - v1
This Landscape Report deliverable is the first in a series of two Reports, meant to describe the landscape surrounding the SWForum and the current existing and successful structures, which can provide model elements for the final form of the SWForum. This deliverable does the following: Describes the objective and the methodology (which includes questionnaires, interviews and research regarding existing models); Shares the content and results of the questionnaires; Presents the planning and structure for the interviews (to be included in the Landscape Report 2 deliverable due later in the project); Explains the results of all of the existing models research, and Provides conclusions and recommendations for SWForum to be successful, effective, efficient and sustainable. The results of the questionnaire are included as an important element of this deliverable and these results are relevant in identifying key issues for the different categories of stakeholders. Furthermore, there is also a careful look at the different existing models which have elements that are also relevant for the stakeholder communities. Finally, the conclusions are recommendations are based upon an in-depth understanding of not only the needs and desires of the stakeholders but also with respect to the existing structures and elements. It is very important to note that this deliverable is the first in a series of 2 Landscape reports with the second report due later in the SWForum.eu project lifecycle, while at the same time the development of the SWForum will be considered in detail in the next version of this report. Also, it is key to recognise that the next version of this report will include a significant number of interviews and results from key stakeholders and individuals identified as being important for the future development of the SWForum. And thus, this remains an evolutionary process with this current deliverable representing a key first step in understanding and defining the landscape around the SWForum.
