Tilžės gatvė - kaip Šiaulių senamiesčio urbanistinės erdvinės struktūros elementas ; Tilzes Street - as an Element of Urban Spatial Structure of Siauliai Old Town
The aim of the master thesis – to offer urban development principles for spatial structure in Tilze street of the city center (in the Old town) of Siauliai. The main objective of the thesis: 1) to conduct the background research of the prevailing methods that are used in the analysis of urban structures 2) to analyze the prevailing methods that are used for the identification of boundaries of central part, historical part, historical city centre and historical suburbs in the urban development structure of Siauliai city and to define their concept 3) to analyze and evaluate the prevailing urban structure of historical city part by highlighting its valuable features and issues; 4) to evaluate the role of the Prisikelimo Square and its acces in the urban structure of the city; 5) to offer priciples for the urban development of spatial structure for central part of the city (Old Town) in Tilzė street. Thesis results – integration of access to Old Town and the architectural expression of Prisikelimo Square urban complex. Master thesis consist of two main parts – explanatory notes and the graphical section. Explanatory notes consists of introduction, analytic-methodical, methodical-examinational, expermental-examinational parts, the results of the master thesis, conclusions and recommendations, the list of literature and apendixes. Graphical part consists of 10 drawing sheets (1000 mm x 700 mm) (contains the most important summarizing graphic material of the thesis) and two three-dimensional models ¬– Urban development structure of Prisikelimo square with approching area (M 1:500) and most important structural elements of the Prisikelimo square (M 1:200). Master thesis contains 76 pages of text without appendix. 126 pictures, 9 tables, 34 sources of literature. Appendix separated.
